No Excuses! Eat + Drink / Events / People

I go to the gym but my body stays the same.

There’s nothing else to eat.

I don’t know how to cook.

I’m too busy.

Do you make the same excuses? TV host and creative consultant, Mond Gutierrez says “No more excuses!”. In a press launch for Century Tuna last Jan 20, 2017, Mond announced that he will embark on a fitness journey that will transform his body in 3 months. Already wiser as he turned a year older on Jan 21, Mond knows that this is the best birthday gift he can give himself.

Mond comes from a celebrity family and has an active nightlife. He is a part owner of some of the best clubs and bars in Manila. Due to the nature of his job, he will need to make some serious lifestyle changes. This is where his good friend Erwan Heussaff of The Fat Kid Inside (fatkidinside.com) comes in.

Erwan is an Ex-Fat Kid who loves to cook and create content. He believes that food is an essential part in a healthy life and he shows that through video recipes. Here’s what Erwan has to say about the common excuses we make:

“I go to the gym but my body stays the same.”

8 out of 10 gym goers consider texting as sufficient cardio. 4 out of 5 guys spend more time in the mirror than on their actual biceps. Don’t be a statistic.

“There’s nothing else to eat.”

A salad can be a meal if you get creative.

Raw carrots make for good snacks, choose calories that work harder than you do.

“I don’t know how to cook.”

100% of people can learn how to cook. That’s a simple fact.

“I’m too busy.”

90% of the population would rather spend an hour going to bed later than getting up for an actual workout. Go against the grain. Snooze isn’t life.

“I don’t believe in cheat days because crap in moderation is still crap.” quipped top celebrity food coach, Nadine Tengco. “Health is a weak motivation, go for beauty and vanity because it’s encompassing,” she adds.

Motivation and mindset are also important to top transformation guru and fitness coach, Arnold Aninion. To Arnold, it’s not all about fitness, as being fit can allow you to be an active dad. He shared a story about being able to do pull-ups with his son on his shoulders in front of his son’s friends. That was a proud moment for the doting dad.

Century Tuna is the leading canned tuna brand in the Philippines. It has Omega 3 DHA that is good for the heart and mind. Their delicious tuna is low in cholesterol and has no preservatives. They have been a part of a lot of transformation stories throughout the years. Yours could be next!
